In May 2011, Neil Young embarked on a remarkable journey. He drove a 1956 Crown Victoria from his serene hometown of Omemee, Ontario, to Toronto's iconic Massey Hall. There, he gave intimate performances on the last two nights of his solo world tour.

During the drive, Young shared profound and introspective stories from his youth with filmmaker Jonathan Demme, a long-time fan and collaborator. Demme masterfully captured these childhood tales and blended them with Young's captivating music. This included tracks from the 2010 album *Le Noise*, powerful renditions of classics like *Ohio*, *Hey Hey, My My*, *Believe in You*, and previously unreleased songs *Leia* and *You Never Call*. Through music and stories, Demme offers a personal, retrospective glimpse into the heart and soul of the artist.

In *NEIL YOUNG JOURNEYS*, you'll experience Young's intense performances in full, along with moments from the humorous and sometimes nostalgic drive into town. Demme and Young had previously collaborated on two other documentaries: *Neil Young Heart of Gold*, documenting Young's performances in Nashville after surviving a brain aneurysm, and *Neil Young Trunk Show*, commemorating a Pennsylvania concert during his "Chrome Dreams II tour".
