# Pretty Maids’ “Maid In Japan” (2020): A Rocking Live Experience!

## 1. Introduction
Pretty Maids are still going strong! In 2020, they treated fans to an amazing Live CD / DVD and Blu Ray package. This time, it's extra special as the Danish rockers perform their classic 1987 album “Future World” back-to-back. This was their first major breakthrough in the metal scene and remains their best-selling album to date.

## 2. The Journey of Recording
In 2017, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of “Future World,” the band planned to play the album in full. The initial recording was at the 2018 Bang Your Head festival in Ballingen, Germany. But the band felt it didn't meet their standards. So, they re-recorded and filmed the whole thing in Tokyo, Japan, during two November 2018 shows.

Singer Ronnie Atkins said, “Recording in Japan was a no-brainer. Japan has been one of our strongest markets since the 80s, and we'd never filmed live stuff there. The concerts in Japan were great fun, with a loud and enthusiastic crowd. Performing in Japan is always a pleasure.”
