## The Story
Metallica's 2004 documentary, *Metallica: Some Kind of Monster*, is getting a special 10th-anniversary Blu-ray edition in November. This was the film where the band laid bare their inner turmoil for all to see.

Out of print for years, it chronicles Metallica's tough period during the making of their 2003 *St. Anger* album. Backstage squabbles were so bad that management assigned a "performance-enhancing coach" to help the members through their issues.

It was a challenging time personally too, with battles against addictions and domestic difficulties. Filmmakers Joe Berlinger and Bruce Sinofsky captured it all, and the movie won the Independent Spirit Award for Best Documentary Feature that year.

## New Blu-ray Features
The new Blu-ray, releasing on Nov. 24, comes with a new feature, *Metallica: This Monster Lives*. It's a 25-minute follow-up shot at the Toronto International Film Festival last year, when the band premiered their second movie, *Metallica: Through the Never*.
