## The Star Vocalist - Joe Payne
At just 26 years old, front man Joe Payne is a revelation. In 2014, he won the title of Best Male Vocalist in Prog, and this live show proves he truly deserves it. With an impressive 5-octave range, comparable to Axel Rose and a young Mariah Carey, he's on a quest for the ultimate classical crossover voice. Taught opera by globally renowned vocal coach Paul Farrington (associated with The Royal Opera House and The Royal Academy of Music), Payne has crafted a unique vocal style. His voice can go from a whisper to a shout, combining the intimacy of rock and the strength of opera.
## The Concept of THE BRIDGE SHOW
This show was designed to showcase new music from *The Bridge* album while using tracks from The Enid's extensive back catalogue to tell a seamless story. As Joe Payne said, "It must tell a story. The show must run seamlessly; if a song doesn't fit the overall concept, it won't make the cut. Art must trump nostalgia." It's their most ambitious project since the 1980s' Salome Ballet.
## The Show's Narrative
Set in the fictional world of ENILAND, it opens with Queen Enid delivering a speech, "ENILAND CAN TAKE IT." Throughout, videos are used to pose thought-provoking questions about nationalism, capitalism, entitlement, and more. There's only one instrumental piece, "Judgement Day" from the debut album *In the Region of the Summer Stars*.
