## The Memorable Concert
On July 11, 2014, it was a night to remember for Axel Rudi Pell. Even Petrus said it was a great week. There was an initial bad weather warning, but the rain only started during “Long Live Rock’n’Roll”, the last song of the regular set. Organizer Horst E. Franz joked it was Ronnie James Dio crying during his closing speech in front of nearly 15,000 soaked yet happy spectators.

Earlier, the evening sun shone on the ‘Bang Your Head’ festival grounds in Balingen. Here, Axel Rudi Pell celebrated his 25th anniversary as a solo artist with a one-of-a-kind show. The CDs and DVDs are a testament to a concert that may never be replicated.

Pell worked hard for over a year on this special gift. He said, “The actual planning began in the summer of 2014, when I went with the organizer with the idea to the public.” His relief after the successful event was palpable.

With his concert agency’s help, the Bochum guitarist assembled an unbeatable line-up. “But much also happened through personal contacts,” he added, as he’s well-known and respected in the international hard rock scene after over 25 years in the business.
