## The Story Behind the Album
Twenty-four years after Chicago's beloved death metal band Broken Hope released their debut disc *Swamped in Gore*, fans are in for a treat – the group's first-ever concert and live album. *Live Disease at Brutal Assault* was filmed at the 2014 Brutal Assault festival in the Czech Republic. With over 20,000 fans in attendance, Broken Hope's performance was met with overwhelming love.

Director Tommy Jones used a dozen pro cameras to capture the band's show. The packaging features stunning artwork by metal art master Mark Rudolph.

Guitarist and founding member Jeremy Wagner shares, "Playing Brutal Assault in 2014 was a dream come true. Being a Main Stage act in front of thousands of crazy fans was amazing. And having it all captured by a pro crew and recorded by the best soundman was the perfect setup to share this with metal fans globally!" He also credits Tommy Jones, saying, "Tommy took all the footage and audio, pieced it together, and made an incredible concert Blu-ray."
